The Tennessee State Prison originally opened in 1898 and was closed in 1992. The prison has been the setting for many films, including "The Green Mile" and 'Ernest Goes to Jail." The prison has experienced a number of fires, prison breaks and riots which lead people to believe it is the perfect spot for paranormal activity. Reports have said that unexplained sounds have been heard along with footsteps and voices.
