This hotel dates back to 1926 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places for Hamilton County in 1976. Room 311 of the Sheraton Read House Hotel has been rumored to be haunted by the ghost of Annalisa Netherly, who was said to stay in the room for extended periods of time. Not much is known about her, besides the fact that she was a prostitute during the 1920's & 1930's. One legend claims she had been living in the hotel and was killed when her husband caught her with another man. Another story states that she was found soaking in the tub with her head almost completely decapitated, possibly by her husband or a lover. A third legend surrounding Netherly states that she was suicidal after she took a man to her room, and he later gave his attention to another woman.
