1880 Newbury House
Rugby, TN 37333
This "public house" has been in use since 1880 and once served as board and lodging. In 1881, a typhoid epidemic took the lives of seven residents of the home.
Rumor has it that single female guests have been known to wake up in the middle of the night with the ghost of a man standing over their bed. Reports believe the ghost is Charles Oldfield. The historic home has the Charles Oldfield Room (room 2) which is reported to have the most activity.

Reviews
We had a radio go off in the hallway in the middle of the night amongst other things. You can tell there is a different energy in the house.
